We are delighted to have teamed up with Ty Gobaith for the Llandudno Santa Run, we would love to raise as much sponsorship as possible for this important charity, please join the JustGiving team or download a sponsor form.
Ty Gobaith is a local charity that cares for children with serious conditions, who aren’t expected to live longer than early adulthood. They are cared for at the hospice or the family home. Ty Gobaith help them enjoy the best possible quality of life and be as comfortable, happy and fulfilled as they can. Support is also provided for their parents and families too, who often find it hard to cope.
All the services are free, but to carry on funding Ty Gobaith and sister hospice Hope House, £6 million is needed every year – almost all of it through the local community. Thank you for joining our event and helping to support Ty Gobaith.
St David’s Hospice is a local charity, caring for local people by delivering specialist care to adult patients with advanced progressive illness, and their families.
This touches the lives of over 1,600 people within our local communities from across the counties of Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.
The Hospice offers 24 hour care, 365 days a year providing a clinical service alongside emotional, physical and spiritual support. The Hospice Day Care Unit provides patient care, bereavement and counselling services, whilst the Inpatient Unit offers symptom control, respite and end of life care.
It costs over £2million each year to deliver St David’s Hospice care services – that’s over £5,000 a day. Around 84% of this figure comes from community fundraising. None of these costs are passed to the patients, their families or carers, because St David’s Hospice care is free to all.
